Encouraging Stories: Power of Positive Talk or Avoiding Toxic Self-Talk (Negative Talking)
Allah
(SWT) the Exalted says in Noble Qur'an: "O you who believe!
Be careful of
(your duty to) Allah and speak the right word." (33:70)
I
remember my dad teaching me the power of language at a very young age. Not only
did my dad understand that specific words affect our mental pictures, but he
understood words are a powerful programming factor in lifelong success.
One
particularly interesting event occurred when I was eight. As a kid, I was
always climbing trees, poles, and literally hanging around upside down from the
rafters of our lake house. So, it came to no surprise for my dad to find me at
the top of a 30-foot tree swinging back and forth. My little eight-year-old
brain didn't realize the tree could break or I could get hurt. I just thought
it was fun to be up so high.

Effects and Results of Controlling, Taming and Corruption of the Human Tongue in Islam
Allah
(SWT) the Exalted said in Noble Qur'an: "There is no good in
most of their secret counsels except (in his) who enjoins charity or goodness or reconciliation between people and whoever does this seeking Allah's pleasure, We will give him a mighty reward." [Sura An-Nisa 4:114]
Imam
Sajjad (as) says in Risalat Al-Huquq (Treatise On Rights): And the right of the
tongue is that you consider it too noble for obscenity, accustom it to good,
direct it to politeness, do not use it except in situations of needs and
benefits of the religion and this world. As well as refraining from any
meddling in which there is little to be gained. There is no security from its
harm that accompanies its small benefits. It is the witness to and the evidence
of the existence of the intellect. The demonstration of an intelligent person's
intellect is through their reputation of good speech. There is no power but in
Allah (SWT) the High, the Great.
Islamic Ethics and Morality: Allegations against a believer (Mo'min)
What is an allegation? To reveal the bad quality of a believer,
which is actually found in him is Gheebat (backbiting). However, to reveal detestable traits of a believer, which are not found in him is called Tohmat (allegation). The sole purpose behind leveling allegations is to defame the believer.
There are two words for backbiting, one is GHEEBAT, and the other
is TOHMAT. When you speak about someone, and what you say is TRUE, then this is
GHEEBAT. When you speak about someone, and what you say is FALSE, then this is
TOHMAT.
The Prophet Mohammed (s.a.w.s.) once said, "O Abu Zar, keep
yourself away from backbiting because it is worse than adultery ... After
committing adultery, if one repents, Allah forgives him, but the backbiter can
not be pardoned unless he has been pardoned by the one about whom he has been
backbiting."

Islamic Inspirational and Motivational Stories: Power of Positive Thinking
In life, there are enough times when we are disappointed,
depressed and annoyed. We don't really have to go looking for them. We have a
wonderful world that is full of beauty, light and promise. Why waste time in
this world looking for the bad, disappointing or annoying when we can look
around us, and see the wondrous things before us!
This can be read as "GOD IS NO WHERE" or as "GOD IS
NOW HERE" everything depends on how you see it. So think positive always.
Thinking positive is the key to your success. All successful people have one
thing in common: Positive thinking and passion for what they are doing!
Norman Vincent Peale, the famous author of "The Power of
Positive Thinking" once told this story.
Islamic Words of Wisdom: Don't Judge a Book by its Cover! Dont judge too quickly
A lady in a faded gingham dress and her husband, dressed in a
homespun threadbare suit, stepped off the train in Boston and walk timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University President's outer office.
The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country
hicks had no business at Harvard University and probably didn't even deserve to be in Cambridge University.
"We want to see the president," the man said softly.
"He'll be busy all day," the secretary snapped.
"We'll wait," the lady replied.

Islamic Motivation: Inspiring Quotes
1)
Never expect things to happen, struggle and make them
happen. Never expect yourself to be given a good value, create a value of your own.
2)
If a drop of water falls in lake there is no identity. But if it falls on a
leaf of lotus it shines like a pearl. So choose the best place where you would
shine.
3)
Falling down is not defeat, real defeat is when you are refusing to get up.
4)
Ship is always safe at shore, but it is not built for it.
Story about sincerity and truth: Emperor's New Cloth
In the modern world, sincerity is the elusive virtue of speaking
truly about one's feelings, thoughts and desires. Sincere expression carries
risks to the speaker, since the ordinary screens used in everyday life are
opened to the outside world.
At the same time, we expect our friends, our lovers, our leaders
to be sincere. It is an earnest and sincere feeling. It is a quality of
naturalness and simplicity. It is the quality of being open and truthful; not
deceitful or hypocritical.

Islam and Leadership, Islam and Teamwork, Islam and Consultation, Islam and Joint Planning
Islam encourages its followers to practice and develop the
qualities of leadership, Teamwork, Partnership, Consultation and Joint Planning.
Islamic Leadership means a person or a group that will lead
humanity from the brink of destruction to the way of Allah (SWT) the Almighty.
Leadership in Islam is a trust (Amanah). It represents a psychological contract
between a leader and his followers that he will try his best to guide them, to
protect them and to treat them fairly and with justice. Hence, the focus of
leadership in Islam is on doing good.
Islam and Struggle: Struggle Stories, Parable of the Pencil
The
Pencil Maker took the Pencil aside, just before putting it into
the box.
"There
are five things you need to know," the Pencil Maker told the Pencil,
"Before I send you out into the World. Always remember them and never
forget, and you will become the best Pencil you can be."
1.
"You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself
to be held in someone's hand."
2.
"You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you will
need it to become a better Pencil."

Family Stories with Morals: What is a family? (Muslim Family Story, Father and Son Stories)
A father came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find
his
5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
Son: "Father, may I ask you a question?"
Father replied: "Yeah sure, what it is?"
Son: "Father, how much do you make an hour?"
Father said angrily: "That's none of your business. Why do
you ask such a thing?"
Son: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you
make an hour?"

Stress in Islam, Stress Management Techniques, Stress Relief Strategies, Stress in Children
Muslims can deal with prolonged stress better when they
understand
where it comes from. Stress, doctors say, usually stress comes from fear of the
unknown, the future, and death. However, Allah (SWT) has already provided us
with prevention against those fears. "And We will most certainly try you
with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and
give good news to the patient" (Noble Qur'an, 2:155). The Prophet Muhammad
(saw) said, "Your most ardent enemy is your evil self which resides within
your body. If this soul is not checked, it will lead to unusual stress."
(Bukhari)Thank You Allah (SWT): Did we get a bill from Allah (SWT)?
A man reached 70 years of age and was affected by a
disease which
made him unable to urinate. The doctors told him that he needs an
operation to cure the disease. He agreed to do the operation as the problem was
giving him severe pain for days.
When the
operation was completed the doctor gave him a bill which covered all the costs.
After looking at the bill, the man started crying. Upon seeing this, the doctor
said, "If the cost is too high then we could make some other arrangements
for you." The old man replied, "I am not crying because of the money
but I am crying because Allah (SWT) let me urinate for 70 years and HE never
sent me a bill!"

Why combine Namaze Zohr-Asr and Maghrib-Isha?
Some people ask why shia pray Namaze Zohr and Namaze Asr
together,
Namaze Maghrib and Namaze Isha together, while majority of Muslims are praying
these Namazes separately and the name of every Namaz is different?
To reply to this question, we should put forward our principles in
all our religious matters that we are following what exactly the Prophet
Mohammed (S.A.W.) was doing. In our Namaz, how to pray Namaz, the timings of
Namaz, and preparation for Namaz e.g. Wazu etc. and all things concerned with
Namaz, we take it from the Prophet (S.A.W.) through the most authentic source
which is Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) Not only Namaz but also all other Ahkaam (Rules).
Every Hokm (Rule) in the Sharish we take from the Quran and from the Prophet
(S.A.W).
Wonderful Stories of Islam: Four Wives Story (Anecdote Illustrating Real Life)
Once upon a time, there was a rich merchant who had four (4)wives.He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and
treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but
the best.
He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He's very proud of her and
always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always
in great fear that she might run away with some other men.

Biggest Weakness Can Become Your Biggest Strength
Take,
for example, the story of one 10-year-old boy who decided to study Judo despite
the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.
The
boy began lessons with an old Japanese Judo master. The boy was doing well, so
he couldn't understand why, after three months of training the master had
taught him only one move.
"Sensei,"
the boy finally said, "Shouldn't I be learning more moves?"
Will Power Stories: Leakage of the Heart
These
days I have been listening to a series of lectures based on
the topic of how to become an excellent teacher of Quran. Surprisingly I have learned things which I had not even expected. For example, the concept that external problems or hurdles are not the real obstacle in the way of success . Rather it is our sins which have the most damaging effect on our lives.
This
reminded me of the countless times I have told others that I could not do such
and such thing or could not complete the target I had in mind because of this
problem or that hurdle. Sometimes blaming people, other times crying over
health problems, always a string of excuses which are nothing more than that
excuses! Because If I had truly wanted to do something and sincerely asked
Allah (SWT), then why would he not let me do things which I want to do only for
his sake? Surely there must be something wrong inside my own self?

DEATH: A BEAUTIFUL GIFT FOR A BELIEVER
"To
Allah (Almighty God) we belong, and to Him is our return."
(Holy Qur'an 2:156)
Multitudes
of men have walked on the surface of this Earth. They all belonged to different
nations and cultures. A few of them made history for which they were
remembered, whereas others were never to be mentioned again. Although each one
was personally different from another - their habits, thinking and tastes differed
- they all had two things in common, first, they were all delivered from their
mothers womb (birth) and second, they all tasted death. Who claims he has lived
a thousand years?
