The
convention, convened 23 to 25 September, was made possible with the support of
USAID through the Winrock International’s Actions to Combat
Trafficking-in-Persons (ACT) program and its partner NGOs -DAM, YPSA, SHISUK,
SACHETAN.
Since
2008, the ACT program has been providing support to strengthen and expand
services for survivors of trafficking for a more comprehensive and effective
approach was made possible with the support of USAID through the Winrock

Since

The
U.S. Government, through USAID, has provided over $6 billion in development
assistance to Bangladesh
since 1971.
In
2011 alone, USAID provided more than $200 million to improve the lives of
people in Bangladesh.
USAID
supports programs in Bangladesh
that: promote democratic institutions and practices, expand food security and
economic opportunity, improve health and education services, and increase
resiliency to climate change through adaptation and low carbon development.
