7 Jamaat-Shibir men held in Ctg

Police detained seven activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir at Dr Sabur Hall of Chittagong College in the city early Saturday.

Acting on a tip off, police conducted a drive at Dr Sabur Hall and arrested the seven for their suspected involvement in the assault on police, vandalism and arson which took place at Sholoshahar on November 18.

Police confirmed their arrest in connection with a case filed on November 19.
