Heroin worth Tk 60 lakh seized in Sylhet

The Rapid Action Battalion members seized 600gm of heroin worth about Tk 60 lakh in Sylhet Sunday night.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-9 seized a polythene bag containing 600gm of heroin in an abandoned state near a house of Tuta Miah’s Colony at Lal Dighirpar in the city at around 10:30pm.

On-duty officer of RAB-9 media wing told New Age that none could be arrested in this connection.

The seized heroin was handed over to the Kotwali police station after filing a general dairy in this regard, he added.
