Women’s Technical College students hold demo

Students of Chittagong Women’s Technical College held demonstrations on the campus in the city Tuesday, pressing their demands including cancellation of transfer order of the incumbent principle.

Witnesses and police said the students locked their classrooms and went out on demonstrations on the campus demanding reinstatement of the incumbent principal, Professor Abdul Malek, appointment of more teachers, construction of hostels and increase in transport facilities.

The Halishahar police, on information, rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control by after holding talks with the students and the teachers.

Later, the students reopened the classrooms.
