BSF picks up two Bangladeshis from Jaipurhat border

Indian border force reportedly picked up two Bangladeshi cattle traders from the border area in Jaipurhat on Wednesday morning, said Bangladesh Border Guard personnel.

BGB personnel of Jaipurhat-3 Battalion said Border Security Force men detained Mizanur Rahman 18, and Nazmul Hossain, from their bordering village Ramkrishnapur in Jaipurhat Sadar upazila.

The BSF men picked them from near the Pillar-274 of Bhhutiapara border, they said.

They later handed them over to the Indian police.

Sabbir Ali, commanding officer of Jaipurhat-3 Battalion, confirmed the incident, saying that they had called on the BSF to hold a flag meeting but did not get any response yet till Wednesday afternoon.
