Choosing a Muslim Wife Guide from Free Muslim Marriage Website

Seeing that his mother was in a good mood, Ahmad sat near her

and said, "Mother, I have an idea which should bring you much joy." His mother answered eagerly, "My son, all that you give me makes me happy. What is on your mind?"

"You know," he told her, "I have finished my studies and can afford to begin a family. I have decided to marry."

His mother's face brightened with a smile. "This is very good news! I have long waited for such a day," she told him. "How often I have wished you would marry one of your cousins. Praise be to Allah (SWT) that you have made this decision before it is too late!" Ahmad exclaimed, "Before it's too late? What do you mean?" "Your cousin Maryam is now old enough to marry. Every day there is someone visiting her home, seeking her hand," his mother told him.

disposition. "Disposition" is that faculty (Malakah) of the soul (Nafs) which is the source of all those activities that man performs spontaneously without thinking about them. Malakah is a property of the soul which comes into existence through exercise and repetitive practice and is not easily destroyed. A particular disposition (Malakah) may appear in human beings because of one of the following reasons:

Will Power Stories: Leakage of the Heart

These days I have been listening to a series of lectures based on

the topic of how to become an excellent teacher of Quran. Surprisingly I have learned things which I had not even expected. For example, the concept that external problems or hurdles are not the real obstacle in the way of success . Rather it is our sins which have the most damaging effect on our lives.

This reminded me of the countless times I have told others that I could not do such and such thing or could not complete the target I had in mind because of this problem or that hurdle.
Sometimes blaming people, other times crying over health problems, always a string of excuses which are nothing more than that excuses! Because If I had truly wanted to do something and sincerely asked Allah (SWT), then why would he not let me do things which I want to do only for his sake? Surely there must be something wrong inside my own self?

Uplifting Stories: Biggest Weakness Can Become Your Biggest Strength

Take, for example, the story of one 10-year-old boy who decided

to study Judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.

The boy began lessons with an old Japanese Judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn't understand why, after three months of training the master had taught him only one move.

"Sensei," the boy finally said, "Shouldn't I be learning more moves?"

"This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you'll ever need to know," the Sensei replied.

Thank You Allah (SWT): Did we get a bill from Allah (SWT)?

A man reached 70 years of age and was affected by a disease

which made him unable to urinate. The doctors told him that he needs an operation to cure the disease. He agreed to do the operation as the problem was giving him severe pain for days.
When the operation was completed the doctor gave him a bill which covered all the costs. After looking at the bill, the man started crying. Upon seeing this, the doctor said, "If the cost is too high then we could make some other arrangements for you." The old man replied, "I am not crying because of the money but I am crying because Allah (SWT) let me urinate for 70 years and HE never sent me a bill!"

Stress in Islam, Stress Management Techniques, Stress Relief Strategies, Stress in Children

Muslims can deal with prolonged stress better when they
understand where it comes from. Stress, doctors say, usually stress comes from fear of the unknown, the future, and death. However, Allah (SWT) has already provided us with prevention against those fears. "And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient" (Noble Qur'an, 2:155). The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, "Your most ardent enemy is your evil self which resides within your body. If this soul is not checked, it will lead to unusual stress." (Bukhari)

Story about sincerity and truth: Emperor's New Cloth

In the modern world, sincerity is the elusive virtue of speaking

truly about one's feelings, thoughts and desires. Sincere expression carries risks to the speaker, since the ordinary screens used in everyday life are opened to the outside world.

At the same time, we expect our friends, our lovers, our leaders to be sincere. It is an earnest and sincere feeling. It is a quality of naturalness and simplicity. It is the quality of being open and truthful; not deceitful or hypocritical.

This story can be used to motivate people to be sincere towards their friends and relatives, towards their life and their work and most importantly towards their goals in life as sincerity goes a long way in determining whether you will be successful or not.

Short Story Collections for Children: Hare and Tortoise

A tortoise one day met a hare who made fun of her. "My, my, you move so slowly, you will never get far!"

The tortoises, upset by the hare's manner, said, "Let's have a race and see who is faster."

The hare laughed and said, "You must be joking! But all right, we'll see who reaches the other side of the hill first." Off he ran, leaving the tortoise far behind.

After a while, the hare stopped to wait for the tortoise to come long. He waited and waited till he felt sleepy. "I might as well take a nap," he thought. "Even if she catches up with me, I can easily win the race." So he lay down under a shady tree and closed his eyes.

The Illusion of Reflection (Real, True Happiness only in the spiritual world)

Once there was a king who had presented his daughter, the
princess, with a beautiful diamond necklace.

The necklace was stolen and his people in the kingdom searched everywhere but could not find it. Some said a bird might have stolen it. The king then asked them all to search for it and put a reward for $50,000 for anyone who found it.

One day a clerk was walking home along a river next to an industrial area. This river was completely polluted, filthy and smelly. As he was walking, the clerk saw a shimmering in the river and when he looked, he saw the diamond necklace.
He decided to try and catch it so that he could get the $50,000 reward. He put his hand in the filthy, dirty river and grabbed at the necklace, but some how missed it and didn't catch it. He took his hand out and looked again and the necklace was still there.
He tried again, this time he walked in the river and dirtied his pants in the filthy river and put his whole arm in to catch the necklace. But strangely, he still missed the necklace! He came out and started walking away, feeling depressed.

Islamic Words of Wisdom: Don't Judge a Book by its Cover! Dont judge too quickly

A lady in a faded gingham dress and her husband, dressed in a

homespun threadbare suit, stepped off the train in Boston and walk timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University President's outer office.

The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard University and probably didn't even deserve to be in Cambridge University.

"We want to see the president," the man said softly.

"He'll be busy all day," the secretary snapped.

"We'll wait," the lady replied.

Power of Positive Talk or Avoiding Toxic Self-Talk (Negative Talking)

Allah (SWT) the Exalted says in Noble Qur'an: "O you who believe!

Be careful of (your duty to) Allah and speak the right word." (33:70)

I remember my dad teaching me the power of language at a very young age. Not only did my dad understand that specific words affect our mental pictures, but he understood words are a powerful programming factor in lifelong success.

One particularly interesting event occurred when I was eight. As a kid, I was always climbing trees, poles, and literally hanging around upside down from the rafters of our lake house. So, it came to no surprise for my dad to find me at the top of a 30-foot tree swinging back and forth. My little eight-year-old brain didn't realize the tree could break or I could get hurt. I just thought it was fun to be up so high.

More about Bananas

Bananas contain three natural sugars – sucrose, fructose and
glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy, report Reuters.

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world’s leading athletes.
But energy isn’t the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Effects and Results of Controlling, Taming and Corruption of the Human Tongue in Islam

Allah (SWT) the Exalted said in Noble Qur'an: "There is no good in most of their secret counsels except (in his) who enjoins charity or goodness or reconciliation between people and whoever does this seeking Allah's pleasure, We will give him a mighty reward." [Sura An-Nisa 4:114]

Imam Sajjad (as) says in Risalat Al-Huquq (Treatise On Rights): And the right of the tongue is that you consider it too noble for obscenity, accustom it to good, direct it to politeness, do not use it except in situations of needs and benefits of the religion and this world. As well as refraining from any meddling in which there is little to be gained. There is no security from its harm that accompanies its small benefits. It is the witness to and the evidence of the existence of the intellect. The demonstration of an intelligent person's intellect is through their reputation of good speech. There is no power but in Allah (SWT) the High, the Great.

Islam and Gambling: Ghulamhusein and the Game of chance (Gambling Story, Evils of Gambling)

Ghulamhusein was a popular social figure and a keen host of
guests coming to him from distant lands. He lived in Moshi, a beautiful small town at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Ghulamhusein was generous and hospitable to one and all. One of his hobbies during leisure hours particularly on Saturdays and Sundays was to play the game of cards or the game of chance with his friends. For hours they used to get together where they enjoyed the game of chance. It was not with the aim of gambling but rather just for pleasure and pass time.

Islam and Greed: Islamic Sayings on Greed (What is Greed?)

Greed is the excess fondness of money and fortune. It is one of the

bad manners that draw to various evils and sins. Greed is selfish excessive or uncontrolled desire for possession or pursuit of money, wealth, food, or other possessions, especially when this denies the same goods to others.

Amir al-Muminin (as) said: "Know with certainty that you cannot achieve your desire and cannot exceed your destined life. You are on the track of those before you. Therefore, be humble in seeking and moderate in earning because often seeking leads to deprivation. Every seeker of livelihood does not get it, nor is everyone who is moderate in seeking deprived."

Pay more attention to source of problems

One fine day, a bus driver went to the bus garage, started his bus

and drove off along the route. No problems for the first few stops, a few people got on, a few got off and things went generally well.

At the next stop, however, a big hulk of a guy got on. Six feet eight, built like a wrestler, arms hanging down to the ground. He glared at the driver and said, "Big John doesn't pay!" and sat down at the back.

The driver was five feet three, thin and basically meek... Naturally, he did not argue with Big John, but he was not happy about it.

Why Islam always discourages lying and encourages telling the truth? (Islam and Lying)

Noble Qur'an says: "O you who believe! Be careful of (your duty

to) Allah and be with the true ones." (9:119)

Lying is one of the most common wrong acts that we commit throughout our daily life. Lying is a subject that we should all take some time to think and reflect on.

Lying is against human nature and physiology. Like any disease, it has its own signs and symptoms. The act of lying produces inner conflicts between various control centers of the brain.
