Thank You Allah (SWT): Did we get a bill from Allah (SWT)?

A man reached 70 years of age and was affected by a disease which
made him unable to urinate. The doctors told him that he needs an operation to cure the disease. He agreed to do the operation as the problem was giving him severe pain for days.
When the operation was completed the doctor gave him a bill which covered all the costs. After looking at the bill, the man started crying. Upon seeing this, the doctor said, "If the cost is too high then we could make some other arrangements for you." The old man replied, "I am not crying because of the money but I am crying because Allah (SWT) let me urinate for 70 years and HE never sent me a bill!"

SubhanAllah! The value of every good thing is realised only when its taken away!

And He gives you of all that you ask Him; and if you count Allah's favours, you will not be able to number them; most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful. Noble Qur'an (14:34)

Moral: We rarely thank Allah (SWT) for these things which are indeed great favours. Take a little pause and think for a while about the bounties of Allah Almighty within yourself. May Allah (SWT) grant us the ability to recognize His bounties and thank Him more often.

It is related by Abu Dawood (no. 4177), at-Tirmidhi (no. 1877) that Prophet Muhammad (sws) said: "He who does not thank people, does not thank Allah (SWT)."

Thank You Allah (SWT): Be thankful to GOD

Arthur Robert Ashe, Jr. the legendary Wimbledon player was a prominent African American Tennis player who was born and raised in USA, was dying of AIDS. From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease?"

To this Arthur Robert Ashe, Jr. replied: The world over

5 Crore children start playing Tennis,

50 Lakh learn to play Tennis,

5 Lakh learn professional Tennis,

50,000 come to the circuit,

5000 reach the Grand Slam titles,

50 reach Wimbledon,

4 to semi final,

2 to the finals,

When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD "Why me?"

And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"

Be thankful to GOD for 99.99% of good things in life.

When I hear somebody sigh, 'Life is hard,' I am always tempted to ask, 'Compared to what?' - Sydney J. Harris

Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Learn from your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith in GOD and drop the fear.

Thank You Allah (SWT): What Happens in Heaven

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.

My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, 'This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to Allah (SWT) said in prayer are received.'
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, 'This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.'

I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the Door of a very small station to my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. 'This is the Acknowledgment Section,' my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed 'How is it that there is no work going on here?' I asked.

'So sad,' the angel sighed. 'After people receive the blessings that they asked For, very few send back acknowledgments.'

And when affliction touches a man, he calls on Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove his affliction from him, he passes on as though he had never called on Us on account of an affliction that touched him; Noble Qur'an (10:12)

'How does one acknowledge Allah's (SWT) blessings?' I asked.

'Simple,' the angel answered. Just say, 'Thank you, Allah (SWT).'

'What blessings should they acknowledge?' I asked.

'If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy.'

'And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity.'

Also ...

'If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ... You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.'

'If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation ... You are ahead of 700 million people in the world.'

'If you can attend a Mosque without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world.'

'If your parents are still alive and still married ... you are very rare.'

'If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair.'

Ok, what now? How can I start?

Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you want, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

Acknowledgment Section: 'Thank you Allah (SWT), for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people to share it with.

Happy moments, praise Allah (SWT). Difficult moments, seek Allah (SWT). Quiet moments, worship Allah (SWT). Painful moments, trust Allah (SWT). Every moment, think Allah (SWT).

Thank You Allah (SWT): Bandage of Complaint

Once a saint saw a man with a bandage tied round his head.

"Why have you tied the bandage?" he asked.

"Because my head aches," the man replied.

"How old are you?" he demanded.

"Thirty," he replied.

"Have you been in pain and anguish the greater part of your life?" he enquired.

"No," the man answered.

"For thirty years you have enjoyed good health," he remarked, "and you never tied the bandage of thankfulness. Now because of this one night head ache, that you have, you tie the bandage of complaint?"

And if We make man taste mercy from Us, then take it off from him, most surely he is despairing, ungrateful. And if We make him taste a favor after distress has afflicted him, he will certainly say: The evils are gone away from me. Most surely he is exulting, boasting; except those who are patient and do good, they shall have forgiveness and a great reward. Noble Qur'an (11:9-11)

Thank You Allah (SWT): Bear problems with patience

The will of Allah (SWT) will not bring us to a place where the grace of Allah (SWT) will not protect us!

Locks are never manufactured without a key. Similar Allah (SWT) never gives you problems without solutions. Only we need to unlock them. They don't come together.

Every problem carries wonderful opportunities. So never run away from problems. Instead face them boldly with patience and problems will be no more.

Remember ...

Smooth roads never make a skillful driver
Smooth sea never makes a skillful sailor
Clear sky never makes a skillful pilot
Problems free life never makes a skillful person

Hence, get going tough ...

If you think you are unhappy, look at them?
If you think your job is tough, how about him?
If you think your salary is low, how about her?
If you think you don't have many friends, ask yourself if you have one sincere friend?
If you think study is a burden, how about her?
When you feel like giving up, think of this man!
If you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does?
If you complain about your transport system, how about them?
If your society is unfair to you, how about her?

Be thankful of what you have and stop complaining. Allah (SWT) has been generous towards you, Thank Allah (SWT) in return.

Remember: Be bold when you loose and be calm when you win.

Heated gold becomes ornament. Beaten copper becomes wires. Depleted stone becomes statue. So the more pain you get in life you become more valuable.

It is narrated from Imam Ali (as) advising Kumayl as follows:

In every hardship say: 'Laa Hawala Wala Qowwata Illa Billah Al Ali Al Azeem', and you will be protected from it.

In every bounty say: Alhamdullah, and you will get more bounties from Allah (SWT).

When income is delayed, seek forgiveness (Istighfaar), Allah (SWT) then grant you more income.

There is a Hadith that says 'La Hawla Wala Quwwata illa billahil aliyul adheem' is such a great medicine that it cures every disease and the most minor disease it cures is 'Sorrow' (Gham).

Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine (poem)

Today, upon a bus,
I saw a girl with golden hair.
and wished I was as fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, a smile.
Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 legs, the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 eyes, the world is mine.

Later, while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play.
He did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word;
and then I knew, he wouldn't hear.
Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.
Ya Allah, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.
