Miscreants strangled an elderly woman and snatched
her ornaments from her house at village Nehabo under Narsingdi on Friday.
Police said some miscreants entered Arman’s house, tied
her hands and legs, strangled her, snatched her gold chain, ear ring and threw
her body into a nearby pond, when other family members were not present.
Informed by locals, union parishad chairman Mizanur
Rahman rushed to spot and informed the Narsingdi sadar police of the incident.
Police sent the body to Narsingdi sadar hospital
morgue for
post-mortem examination.
A
case was filed in this connection.
Police arrested one Ripon Miah of the same village.
