7 injured as BCL rivals clash in Bangla College




 


At least 7 people were injured in a clash between rival groups of the Bangladesh Chhatra League over establishing supremacy at the college dormitory of Government Bangla College Mirpur in the capital on Monday noon.

The college sources said, a group of students led by BCL college wing president Saiful Islam Raihan attacked the room of another group’s student at the student dormitory.

Then the factional group led by Rubel Haoladar came to the scene and locked into clash while they vandalized several laptops, computer, furniture and other valuables inside the room.

 More than seven students were injured.
Lavlu, 23, and Jewel, 24, 4th year student of management dep. took treatment from Dhaka Medical College Hospital, while the rest received first-aid from nearby clinics, said the college sources.
Afterwards, police brought the situation under control, said Darussalam Police Station.
Additional police deployed at the college compound, he added.
